Regular Exercise Helps Improve Quality Of Life!

A new study has revealed that regular exercise delays aging process in humans. Exercise has always benefited patients suffering from cardiovascular symptoms and who have had previous cases of myocardial infarctions. Not only this, exercise has benefited healthy adults in maintaining their heart health, lowering body weight, fighting obesity and for better sexual life. Apart from the overall benefits regular exercise has also proved essential to control aging process.

The good news is, exercise not only extends the life span for a period of at least five years but also improves the quality of life. This study was presented recently at the 23rd Annual Meeting of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM). This study headed by the Canadian sports medicine physician Dr. Mark Tarnopolsky, has remarkable results also for the older adults.

The good news is for enthusiasts who regularly perform exercising, actually slow down their aging process at a considerable rate. This was a collaborative research by Dr. Tarnopolsky and the Division head of Neuromuscular and Neurometabolic Disorders, from the Department of Pediatrics at McMaster University in Hamilton.  The study has also analyzed that adults would receive more results by combining exercise with resistance exercises. Endurance exercise along with resistance has more health benefits in the long run.

Dr Tarnopolsky is also involved in research related to betterment of patients down with mitochondrial cytopathies, and also for cases involving Pompe disease, Friedreich’s ataxia and Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The main focus of the study is also to improve the quality of life for patients with severe symptoms and correlate it with benefits of regular exercising. With some of these disorders severely restrict the mobility of patients, this new study is hoped to be remarkable for their overall betterment. Exercise has immense benefits than previously perceived, and now it is a proven study.
