The medical advancements we’re starting to see these days might be a glimpse into the not so far away future, as cells that have reprogrammed were able to stay bug free due to a brand new developmental medicine. This particular medicine is supposed to be regenerative, which is when the medicine itself attributes to the rejuvenation (or even the replacement) of damaged tissues, whether it be disease or simply wounded.

In their own personal article, the authors of the study had reported that the protective properties of SIRT1 are rather prominent. “We find that SIRT1 is required for efficient post reprogramming telomere elongation, and that this effect is mediated by a c-MYC-dependent regulation of the mTert gene.” If the effects are rather positive, why shouldn’t more people be taking the risk with these regenerative medicines? If you have nothing to lose, this could possibly be the best available option to you (although it seems relatively safe in its own right).
